At Gyanastra Foundation, we are more than just a charity. We are a movement fueled by the belief that every child, regardless of where they are born, deserves access to education, nutrition, and opportunities that unlock their potential.
Rooted in the Sanskrit words “Gyan” (knowledge) and “Astra” (weapon), our name reflects our mission — to arm children with the most powerful tool for change: knowledge.
Our Story
Gyanastra began with a simple belief — that no child should be held back by circumstances beyond their control.
What started as small community efforts in rural villages of Maharashtra has now grown into a foundation that supports education, nutrition, shelter, and dignity for underprivileged children across the state.
With every meal served, every uniform gifted, and every classroom enriched with learning, we take one step closer to a future where every child can dream without limits.
