A uniform is more than clothing – it’s belonging. Project Pehchan provides school uniforms and shoes so children attend with dignity, feel included and stay motivated to learn.

Confidence changes how a child shows up at school. Many children own no uniform or proper footwear, which affects attendance and self‑esteem. Project Pehchan restores dignity by supplying well‑fitted uniforms and sturdy shoes ahead of the academic year. Combined with orientation sessions on care and discipline, Pehchan reinforces the message: you belong here, and your learning matters.

In May and June 2025, Project Pehchan delivered new uniforms to hundreds of children in villages across Yavatmal and the Melghat region of Amravati. For many, wearing a proper uniform for the first time wasn’t just about clothing – it was about pride, confidence, and a sense of belonging that inspired them to walk into their classrooms with their heads held high.
